What's with the name?
HimmelMusik is a combination of owner Chris Himmel's last name and the German spelling of "music". "Himmel" in German translates as "heaven or sky", so "HimmelMusik" can roughly be translated as "Heavenly Music" or "Music of the Heavens".
Can I come browse the shop?
HimmelMusik has no store location. Our business is pickup and delivery based.
My instrument is rented, can I still have repairs done at HimmelMusik?
Most rental companies provide repairs as part of their rental agreement at no extra charge, so it is usually wise to take your instrument to them. However, if you need your instrument fixed right away, we are happy to make it playable for you until you can get it to the rental company.
Do you do custom work?
No. Currently, HimmelMusik only offers general repairs and maintenance.
It's the day of the concert and I broke my instrument! Can you fix it right now?!
Possibly. This depends entirely on what is wrong and Chris's schedule. Immediate repairs may be available. Please call (978) 857 5840.
I just need a minor repair that should be quick, do you have to take my instrument, or can you fix it at my home/office/school?
In general, it is preferable to take the instrument to go over it completely and make sure there are no other issues. In the case that the instrument is needed right away and the problem truly is a quick fix, it may be possible to do while you wait.
Is it possible to have my instrument fixed over a weekend or school vacation?
Chris is generally available on weekends, though availability may be limited on school vacation weeks. Please call (978) 857 5840 before planning on a repair being done over a vacation week.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes. HimmelMusik accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, and PayPal.
